| Bio | Terry and Elain (McGowan) were married March 28, 1964 in Independence, Missouri. At that time both were working for Western Electric in Lee's Summit. To this union were born three sons: Austin L., Joseph W., and Thomas G. Hubbard. Terry stayed at WE and Elain was a stay at home mom. In 1970, we moved to Lee's Summit, MO. Terry retired from WE/AT&T/Luc. in 1994 with 31 years with the company. He soon found that he did not like staying at home. So he went back to work. He has been with the Lee's Summit School District for the last 7 years and he loves it. He plays Santa for the district every December. While at WE, Terry bowled in the winter and played softball a lot in the spring and fall. In the summer, we camped and fished. Raising the boys Terry coached basketball, baseball teams and helped in what ever the boys were in. Elain kept everyone on time, baked wedding cakes and worked part-time for the school district in the winter months. Our boys all married and we have six grandchildren. Our oldest son Austin died in 1989. Terry's job with WE was a toolmaker. His job with the school district, he works in the warehouse delivering food and other supply to all the L.S. schools. Elain works for the Lee's Summit school district also. She works at Campbell Middle School as a building clerk and helps with 3 of our 6 grandchildren every evening, while their dad is at work. Joe is divorced. In our spare time, we love to camp and fish. Terry enjoys singing at church and weddings and watching John Wayne and Alan Ladd movies. Elain enjoys looking up family history (genealogy)which takes us to many interesting places. |
